Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy covers every app and website made by Tsumida AI, and the Tsumida AI account they share. Some apps have their own policy with details about that app (for example Peel, Koko Travel and our games). Where an app has one, it adds to this policy for that app, and it wins where the two differ.
The short version: we collect what an app needs to work, we never sell your data, we show no ads, and you can delete your account at any time.
Who we are
Tsumida AI is a small software studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
The Tsumida AI account
Many of our apps let you sign in, and most work without it. It is one account for all of our apps: sign in to one and you can use the same account in the others.
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code we email to you. When you do, we receive and keep:
- your name and email address (Apple lets you hide your real address, and then we only see a relay address);
- an identifier from Apple or Google that says which of their accounts signed in;
- when the account was made, when it last signed in, and which of our apps it has been used with.
We never see your Apple or Google password, and we do not store passwords of our own.
What you put into an app
Whenever we can, what you make stays on your device. Some features need our servers: sharing something with a friend, keeping a trip or list in sync across your devices, or processing a link, photo or text you send in. When you use such a feature, we receive what it needs and keep it only to provide that feature to you and to the people you chose to share it with. Each app says, where it matters, which features send something to us.
How the apps are used
Our apps report how they are used, in numbers: when an app is opened, which screens are viewed and for how long, which buttons are pressed, and when something goes wrong. These reports carry a random identifier the app makes on first launch, the app's version, the device's model, system and language, and, if you are signed in, your account. They never contain your photos, the text you type or anything else you make. We use them to see which features are used and to find and fix bugs.
Our servers see the IP address of each request, as every server does. We use it to deliver the request and to stop abuse, and we do not keep it with the usage numbers.
We collect this ourselves. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking kits, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
Permissions on your device
An app asks before it uses your photos, camera, microphone, location, contacts or notifications, and only uses them for the feature you are using at the time. What it reads stays on the device unless that feature says it is sent to us. If you allow notifications, we keep the device's notification token to send them. You can change any permission in your device's settings.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions in our apps go through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment; we never see your card or billing details. We learn what you bought, and we may keep that with your account so it can be restored.
AI features
Some of our apps use AI models, for example to read a link or video you send in, or to turn your notes into a plan. When you use such a feature, what you sent is passed to the AI provider we use to produce the result. We choose providers that process it on our behalf and do not use it to train their models.
How we use information
- to run the apps and the features you use, and to sign you in;
- to answer you when you write to us;
- to understand, in aggregate, how the apps are used, and to fix and improve them;
- to keep the apps and our users safe and to stop fraud and abuse;
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not show ads.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who run parts of the apps for us: hosting and databases, email delivery, AI models and maps. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Apple and Google, when you sign in with them, buy something, or use features of their systems. Their own privacy policies cover that.
- People you choose, such as friends you share something with.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- A new owner, if Tsumida AI or an app is sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.
Where it is kept
Our servers and our providers may be in Canada, the United States or other countries. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as this policy describes.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and what belongs to it until you delete the account. Usage numbers that belong to an account are deleted with it. Anything we hold that is not part of an account is kept only as long as the feature that needs it, or as long as the law requires. Backups are overwritten in the normal course, within 30 days.
Deleting your account
In the app: open Settings, then Account, then Delete account (the words can differ a little between apps). The account is deleted right away.
Without the app: write to [email protected] from the email address the account uses and ask us to delete it. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
Deleting removes your name, email address, sign-in, usage numbers and everything the account holds on our servers, in every Tsumida AI app, since it is one account. Records we must keep by law (such as an order you placed) stay, with your account removed from them. What is stored only on your device stays there until you delete the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for a purpose you agreed to. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the privacy authority where you live.
Security
Connections to our servers are encrypted, access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and we collect as little as we can. No system is perfectly secure, but if something does go wrong, we will tell the people affected and the authorities, as the law requires.
Children
The Tsumida AI account is not for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it. Our games are for all ages and collect nothing about anyone; see the games' privacy policy.
